Personalized Substance Abuse Recovery Programs

ADDICTION TREATMENT
Harbor Wellness offers different forms of addiction treatment including individual therapy, trauma therapy, group counseling, process groups, and psychoeducational groups. These sessions focus on several different topics including relapse prevention, developing life skills, resume building, anger management, and emotional regulation.

Medication-Assisted Treatment
Harbor Wellness and Recovery Center utilizes Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) as a highly effective approach to support individuals struggling with substance use disorders. By integrating FDA-approved medications with comprehensive behavioral therapy, our MAT program takes a holistic approach to addiction treatment, addressing the physical, psychological, and emotional aspects of recovery.

OUTPATIENT
We have three different phases of outpatient programming including Partial Care Program (PC), Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP), and Outpatient Programming (OP).

SOBER LIVING
At Harbor Wellness we support our clients to be apart of a sober community. Whether living in a Sober Living, Oxford, Halfway, Transitional Home, we support our clients throughout their process and on the road to recovery and self-discovery through weekly check-ins and case management services. We seek to offer them the necessary support so that they can remain successful in their unique journey to healing.

GROUP THERAPY
Group Therapy Sessions at Harbor Wellness and Recovery IOP are facilitated by licensed professionals and addiction counselors who facilitate the dialogue using psychoeducational, skill-building, and process group models. Our staff of dedicated clinicians are trained in multiple therapeutic modalities to help clients achieve their goals and succeed in long-term recovery and overall mental and emotional well-being.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Individual therapy is a one-on-one component of substance use treatment, offering a private space to explore insights from group sessions. It incorporates various approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), all within a trauma-informed framework. The goal is to foster safety, collaboration, and empowerment by addressing the physical, psychological, and social effects of addiction. Therapists guide clients in transforming maladaptive coping mechanisms into healthier behaviors through a compassionate, individualized approach.

CASE MANAGEMENT
Case management serves to coordinate all aspects of the client’s treatment. The range of services offered are essential to support individuals in developing their skills to gain access to adequate housing, medical services, employment, social, and educational resources. Case managers help clients develop independent living skills, provide support with treatment, and serve as the point of contact between clients and people in their social and professional support systems.

COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological treatment proven to be effective for addressing issues such as substance use, anxiety, depression, and psychiatric issues. The aim of CBT is to improve the quality of life by eliminating old habits and negative patterns of thinking. CBT works by giving a person tools to better cope with psychological problems which in turn relieves their symptoms and allows for a more successful and hopeful perspective in life. The therapist will empower the client to become in-tune with their own thoughts and behaviors such that over time, they will be able to automatically and without hesitation be able to treat problems independently one day.

DIALECTICAL BEHAVIOR THERAPY (DBT)
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a type of cognitive behavioral therapy that also attempts to unlock and discard negative thinking patterns and strives for improved behavior changes. DBT brings together two opposing ideas, acceptance and change, to bring about comprehensive results that work better than just one. DBT is commonly most effective when the client practices the newly learned or refreshed skills in their daily life. Harbor Wellness and Recovery’s therapists use a multitude of different therapies including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

FAMILY SESSIONS
Family members, partners, and close friends are welcome to become a part of your recovery process through communication guidance, group therapy, family-oriented therapy, and a supportive environment. No one deserves to bear this burden alone and our staff offers recovery support for families to learn the skills to cope with, overcome, and rebuild.

TRAUMA GROUP
Approaches to trauma therapy programs vary, but the objective remains the same. Clients are encouraged to process traumatic events and overwhelming emotions in a way that leads to regulation. Clients work on putting distance between themselves and their fear as well as to recognize and monitor their overwhelming emotions. By connecting with a social support system, they begin to break away from self-destructive habits, including drug and alcohol use. Quality drug rehab centers offer dual diagnosis to assess the underlying issues contributing to addiction. As trauma frequently goes with drug and alcohol addiction, it’s important for addiction treatment professionals to address the connection.

HOLISTIC & MINDFULNESS
Addiction affects a person on every level: physically, mentally, and spiritually. For this reason, treatment must heal the entire person. Harbor Wellness and Recovery Center offers comprehensive care that goes beyond 12-Step immersion and clinical modalities. We provide holistic programming for those seeking deep, lasting change. We offer meditation, yoga, and mindfullness for addiction. If you are interested in a path to spiritual rootedness and multidisciplinary healing, Harbor Wellness can help.
